Uh oh. I'm in the purse but I don't think I like where it's going. This is a vet's office. They are going to stick me. They stuck me. They promised it wouldn't hurt. But it hurts. Now they want to give me a treat. I don't like their stinky treats. I'll ignore them; maybe they will leave me alone.

I Love Shopping

Mrs. B took me shopping. She bought me a purse. It's pink! She's been carrying me around for months in this purse. Nice - I can see out the top and there is a little pouch for treats! She takes me to see all these people - they ooh and ahh - wonder what they are talking about. They keep looking at me and asking questions. Haven't these people ever seen a puppy before? Or is it the purse? Oh well - I'll just hide in here when I don't like what's happening - come again soon!

Mrs. Beasley Here -

It's Me again - Mrs. Beasley! This is the most embarrassing thing a dog could ever have happen! Here I was in the pet store a few months ago sitting in a basket minding my own business. They started trying hats & coats on me. Now I have a nice fur coat - I don't know why Mrs. B and Mr. B want me to try coats and hats. Don't they know how stupid I look in a mouse outfit, not to mention a cheetah suit. I'm glad none of my litter family saw me. I just tolerated them; but when I got home I showed them - I chewed a hole in the carpet!

Mrs. Beasley is back!

Hi, It's me again - Mrs. Beasley. Hope you are having a good day!

Just to keep everything in prespective I want to let you know that I call my owners Mrs. B and Mr. B. Since they call me Mrs. Beasley, I wanted to keep it formal!

Mrs. B is a nut. She actually bought me a play pen to sleep in. They put the play pen in a corner of their living room. Well at least I can see the table from here and I can keep track of the front door! Lots of people come in and out of this place! Lots of kids. They play with me and feed me from their lunch.

Oh and do I get the treats! Mrs. B thinks she taught me to bark for a treat! Isn't that crazy? Everybody knows that dogs just bark and crazy humans just hand over the food. No teaching to it - it comes naturally!

Mrs. B buys these treats in a little box. She calls them the recipe but they look like chunks of food to me. Well I had to produce some interesting things to do so I could get her to give me some of this recipe. I pretend to pout - that's just putting my head on the floor - doesn't take much to please these people! So they want me to snuggle - I don't know how to do that so I just put my head on her arm. Mrs. B thinks that's snuggling. These people have been without a dog too long. One of their Grandchildren - Alyssa - taught me to roll over according to her. I've been rolling over since I was born but when I roll over for her she gives me treats. Humans!

Well Mr. B produced this crazy thing that causes me a lot of trouble. I heard him say it was a laser light. Mr B thinks he's funny running me all over the room. I'm going to catch that thing and tear it apart. That will show him!

If any of you humans have a dog (or cat - heaven forbid!), we'd love to hear some of the things they do and see some pictures! I'll be waiting to hear from you - Mrs. B too but I'm the one who needs friends - she's working and leaves me alone.

Come back soon!

Hi, this is Me. Me is Mrs. Beasley, a miniature dachsund. Yep I'm one of those weiner dogs. I'm 1-1/2 years old. As you can see from my picture I'm red with black markings.

What? You are wondering why my name is Mrs. Beasley? Well, I have this crazy owner - she's the one listed as Me in this blogg - Linda known to most people but I hear them call her Mom and Grandma. I guess she's confused who she is so they call her lots of names! Anyway she wanted a different name for me. The original Mrs. Beasley is the doll in "Family Affair" on TV back in 1967. I guess she remembers way back then.

My owner's - Linda & Chester - didn't have any dogs in the house for 38 years. Then she convinced him they needed one, a dog that is. She carried a picture of a dachsund on her phone for about 6 months. Then my birth people showed her a picture of me and my litter family. She thought I was so cute (I am you know) but he had to be convinced.

They picked me out of the litter or so they think. You see I picked them. I ran around them and made them think they were choosing me. Boy was that work! Getting their attention and getting them to chase me around the room! They picked me up - I let them. They brought a blanket for me so that I would be cozy on the way home. Not too bad. I picked a good home if I say so myself! Enough for now - come back when you can read more!
